2015 FINDING THE HEART AT WINDMILL HILL

Description

This part of my local landscape draws me especially at times when I need to gain perspective in my life.  During the lockdown period of spring 2020 I have sought places to walk away from other people and this led me to a place I hadn’t explored, which was the other side of my favourite Windmill Hill.  The sun was shining, the skylarks singing and the views were wonderful.  On returning home I went through the photos I had taken and was surprised to see quite clearly the heart shape in the chalk pit markings of Tidpit below the hill.  It seemed such a hopeful sign in these dark and difficult times and I offer this soft, peaceful piece as a symbol of healing, calm and inner peace.
