AN introduction to oil painting

Hopefully busting the myths about oil painting! A new 6 week course for anyone who would like to try out oil painting for themselves. Suitable for all painting levels, and all materials supplied. The weekly classes will run on Thursday afternoons in Fordingbridge at Avonway Community Centre, and starting on 15th September.

During the 6 weeks we will look at

• traditional and water soluble oil paints and how to use them,
• which mediums to use,
• what to paint on for which results
• tools and equipment
• an introduction to some of the key oil painting techniques
• How to build up pictures using oil paints

WHAT WILL THE COURSE GIVE YOU?

• An understanding of whether oil painting is for you, without having to lay out for expensive materials.
• The basic techniques to take away with you to begin creating your own paintings.
• The opportunity to continue with further classes in the Exploring Painting series to develop the techniques further.
